Chris Wells - West Coast Organizer

Chris Wells graduated from Lehigh University (PA) in 2003 with a B.A. in Architecture. After graduation he spent 16 months volunteering in Mozambique, Africa. It was an experience that completely changed his life and outlook upon the reality of the world. Truly recognizing the opportunities that he has been blessed with are what motivate him the most to do what he can to offer them to others. Also having participated in a similar Transcontinental Ride last year, he realizes that this ride is an amazing opportunity to continue his involvement with the developing world, but to do it in a way which he feels is more appropriate - mobilizing fellow Americans to get involved through awareness and education.

Steve Clarke - East Coast Organizer

Steve Clarke graduated from Lehigh University in 2002 with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Since then, he's worked in various different roles for two major automotive companies. In May 2007, Steve, along with his wife Jesse, dropped everything and traveled around the world to 13 different countries to meet his global neighbors and better assess his fit in the world. Included in this trip was a few weeks spent in Nepal, witnessing, first hand, the differences in every day life that NGO's can achieve when they empower the local people. Returning to the US in May 2008, Steve now possesses a new perspective on the global community and his role as it pertains to helping others. Combining this with a life-long love of cycling, Steve is excited about the synergies that can be achieved when combining two of his greatest passions and hopes that his enthusiasm will be contagious enough to cause others to become aware, active citizens of their global community.

Jesse Clarke - East Coast Organizer

Jesse Clarke is a global world citizen with a passion for helping others lead a healthy and fit life. Educated at Lehigh University, she graduated with a MS in Mechanical Engineering and followed her dream of working in the automotive industry. During this time she became an active member in the yoga community and found that it was part of a global network working towards a balanced life. This inspired her to obtain her Yoga Teacher's Certificate and ultimately, to travel the world for a year with her husband. The travel was a great firsthand lesson of the diverse human needs around the globe. As a cycling enthusiast, she is excited to marry her concern for health and fitness with the ability to bring aid to the field of human rights. Jesse hopes that we will all take the time to look inside ourselves and find what motivates us to contribute in our own way to making a better world. The potential for impact is limitless.

Eamon Aloyo - Mountain Region Organizer

Eamon Aloyo is a Ph.D. candidate in political science at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and his passions are international ethics and development, as well as political philosophy and other disciplines. He received his B.A. and M.A. from Lehigh University (PA), and has worked and studied in Kenya and Argentina. His time in Kenya was especially influential in his inspiration to participate in fundraising and organizing for development. Such comparatively little effort here has such immense influence there that there is no good reason not to participate. Imagining what those in the developing countries think and feel of an apathetic student with such opportunity is enough to spur him on.
