The Fifth Annual Dream Ride is dedicated to improving the quality of life in the developing world through the power of quality health care. All proceeds will be donated to Partners in Health.
“At its root, our mission is both medical and moral.
It is based on solidarity, rather than charity alone.”
-The Partners in Health Vision Statement
When a person in Peru, or Siberia, or rural Haiti falls ill, PIH uses all of the means at its disposal to make them well—from pressuring drug manufacturers, to lobbying policy makers, to providing medical care and social services.
Whatever it takes. Just as we would do if a member of our own family—or we ourselves—were ill.
What can your donation do?
$10 supplies clinics with 100 packets of oral rehydration solution in Haiti, a critical need for continued cholera treatment and prevention.
$25 will pay the school fees of one child in Haiti for an entire year.
$60 will help one family in Haiti in Zanmi Agrikol’s Family Assistance Program, providing them with tools, seeds, saplings, training on new farming methods, and weekly visits from a community agriculture worker.
$60 will also provide one day’s meals to 100 in patients at hospitals in Malawi. Partners In Health works in partnership with Ministries of Health in 12 countries worldwide to strengthen public health systems and provide quality health care in some of the world’s poorest communities
$65 will provide a kit for an emergency C-section at PIH health facilities in Haiti.
$100 will construct a water filter for one household, so families can drink purified water and avoid diarrheal and water-borne parasitic diseases, which serve as the top killer of children in developing countries.
$150 will support three months of the salary of an accompagnateur in Haiti, who visits HIV patients daily in their homes and helps improve the health of our patients.
$240 will provide over 5 months’ salary for a community health worker in Haiti, who makes daily home visits to our patients. The majority of community health workers that Partners In Health trains and employs are local nationals from the communities we serve.
$250 will buy 50 mosquito nets and protect 50 children from contracting malaria.
$500 will provide 1 year of support intervention to stop HIV transmission from mother to child by providing formula and other necessary supplies.
